Job Title: Pest Control Technician

Salary: £37,862.45 per annum (inclusive of call out) fully expensed Van with option for private use, Overtime available with good rates of pay, Pension, Health plan, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Location: Covering High Wycombe

Hours: Monday to Friday- 40 hours per week 

Standby: 1 in 4 weekend

We are advertising this Pest Control Technician role on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’. City FM was established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.

Job Purpose:

As a Pest Control Technician, your main responsibility is to provide comprehensive pest control services to our clients. This includes identifying and managing pest infestations and ensuring that the environment is not conducive to pest activity. You'll conduct regular inspections, produce detailed reports, and communicate effectively with clients.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Stay updated with training and technical developments in pest control.
• Take ownership of pest-related issues and resolve them promptly.
• Respond quickly to emergency calls.
• Produce detailed reports and escalate issues as needed.
• Carry out pest-proofing works and installations within your technical competence.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and use pesticides responsibly.
• Work efficiently to support cost-effective operations.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Raise regular recommendations to support stores maintaining a pest free site
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams as needed to address complex pest control challenges.
• Complete mandatory training modules on our comprehensive training platform
• Execute administrative tasks with precision and timeliness to uphold organizational efficiency.

Skills / Background / Qualifications:

• At least 12 months experience as a pest control technician
• Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2 is required.
• Bird proofing work is desirable. 
• Fumigation services is desirable. 
• General building/fabrication skills is desirable.
• Experience with Pest control environment. 
• Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable. 
• Good PC literacy 
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Full driving licence.
• Helpful/professional manner 
• Customer focused 
• Self-motivated 
• A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to your work is an essential requirement
